How to become a better Designer

Many designers can’t draw. It’s actually not required for a designer to be able to draw. Because of that I stopped taking drawing seriously in university and focused more on the never ending learning process of design software that has new updates every 6 months.

Last month I was offered a job to be a private drawing instructor. I wanted the job but I had to relearn how to draw. And to my surprise, practicing how to draw actually made ideas and concepts flow out much more efficiently. I was able to quickly brainstorm ideas and implement it well into whatever media I needed it to be. Read the rest of this entry »
